    Hello friend,

    UPSC conduct the civil service exam every year for IAS,IPS,IFS etc.

    Eligibility:-

    Qualification---- You must have graduate degree in any stream from
    recognised university.

    Age limit--- Age should be
    minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for general
    categories.

    Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year.

    Attempts--- For general 4 ,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st.

    Through Civil Service exam,you can do services like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc

    Eligibility criteria for Civil Service exam:-

    1)Candidate should be the citizen of India

    2)Age Limit:-

    Minimum age is 21 years,Maximum age is 30 years for general category candidates
    Maximum age is 33 years for OBC candidates
    Maximum age is 35 years for SC,ST candidates

    3)Maximum Number of attempts:-

    For general category candidates maximum attempts are 4
    For OBC candidates 7 is maximum number of attempts
    There is no limit for SC,ST candidates

    4)Qualification:-

    Graduation from any group from recognized university

    -> As a Engineer graduate you can write IES(Indian Engineering Service ) exam also

    Civil Service Exam conduct by UPSC- Union Public Service Commission every year.
    After qualifying this exam one can get best administrative jobs of their state government.


    This exam held in three terms -- Preliminary Exam,Mains Exam and Interview.
    Every one have to qualify every exam step by step like 1 then 2 after that 3.
    If you loose any one of these exam then you will have to appear from the start ( means Preliminary Exam ) again.


    Here i have mentioned complete Eligiblity Criteria of Civil Service Exam


    >> Only those candidates who have Indian Citizenship can appear in IAS and PCS exam.


    >> Candidate's age should fall between 21 to 30 years.


    ** Other category candidate get relaxation in their upper age.Here i have mention
    the relaxation criteria of upper age for all category member...
    • Generals has no relaxationin Upper age.
    • S.C/S.T up to 5 years.
    • Other Backward category member upto 3 years.
    • Jammu & Kashmir domicile upto 5 years.

    • Civil service exam is conducted by the union public service commission i.e UPSC.
    • Civil service exam is divided into preliminary exam, main exam and the interview.
    • You must have completed graduation from an recognised university.
    • Your age need to be between 21 years to 30 years.
    • Age relaxations of three years and five years is provided to obc and sc/st candidates.
    • Only four attempts is allowed to general candidates, seven attempts to obc candidates and no limit for sc/st candidates.

    Eligibility Criterion :-
    Candidates who have the following minimum qualifications are eligible to appear for the exam :-

    1) The candidate must be a final year graduation student or must have already completed his/her graduation from a recognized University..

    2) The candidate mus be within the age limit of 21-30 years (3 years age relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates..

    3) General candidates can appear only 4 times for the exam whereas OBC candidates can appear for 7 and SC/ST candidates can appear as long as their age permits..


    If you are not a final year student then currently you are not eligible for the exam..

    yes you are eligible for the upsc exams

    here is the eligibility criteria needed for upsc examinations
    eligibility:

    @must comleted graduation from a recogniseduniersity in india.

    @graduation from any disclipline

    @citizen of india.

    @age: General-21-30 years

    obc- 3 years relaxation

    Yes you can get a job in Civil services exam and some eligibility criteria you can fulfill then you are

    eligible for Civil services examination .You are a engineering students and you complete Engineering

    As you are an Engineer you will find so many various careers in Civils


    To be Eligible you must follow the below Eligibility criteria

    You must have a minimum of 21 years Age

    The Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

    And you must have a Minimum Bachelor Degree from a Recognized university

    As you have a Graduation you no need to worry

    Of course there will be an Age relaxation for the Reserved candidates ..

    These are the Civil Services Exams, where you can apply –

    A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination.

    The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases:
    • Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
    • Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
    • State of Jammu & Kashmir (Domiciled during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989): upto a maximum of five years.
    • Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years
    (disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof)
    • Ex-servicemen including Commissioned officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service and have been released (i) on completion of assignment otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or (ii) on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service, or (iii) on invalidment: upto a maximum of five years.
    • ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and that they will be released on three month's notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment : upto a maximum of five years.
    • Blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped persons: upto a maximum of ten years.
    NOTE I
    Cumulative Age relaxation:
    Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes who are also covered under other clauses mentioned above will be eligible for grant of cumulative age-relaxation under both the categories.
    Ex-servicemen eligibility:
    The term ex-servicemen will apply to the persons who are defined as ex-servicemen in the Ex-servicemen (Re-employment in Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1979, as amended from time to time.
    The age concession will not be admissible to Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs, who are released on own request.
    NOTE II
    Date of Birth Certificate:
    The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate.
    No other document relating to age like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation, service records and the like will be accepted.
    Once the date of birth is recorded in the Commission, no change is allowed subsequently (or at any other Examination of the Commission) on any grounds whatsoever.
    Educational Qualifications
    The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
    NOTE:
    • Candidates who have appeared at an examination which would educationally qualify them for the UPSC examination but have not received the the results will also be eligible for admission to the Preliminary Examination. They will have to produce the proof of passing the requisite examination with their application for the Main Examination.
    • In exceptional cases, UPSC may treat a candidate who has not any of the foregoing qualifications as a qualified candidate, provided that he has passed examination conducted by other Institutions, which UPSC deems fit.
    • Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications, recognised by Government as equivalent to professional and technical degree would also be eligible for admission to the examination.
    • Candidates who have passed the final professional M.B.B.S. or any other Medical Examination but have not completed their internship by the time of submission of their applications for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, will be provisionally admitted to the Examination. They will however, have to submit a copy of a certificate from the concerned authority of the University/Institution that they have passed the requisite final professional medical examination with their application . In such cases, the candidates will be required to produce original Degree or a certificate from the University/Institution at the time of their interview .
    Number of attempts
    The maximum number of attempts restriction is effective from the examination held in 1984. In case other eligibility conditions apply:
    • General candidates: four attempts.
    • Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    • Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.
    NOTE 1:
    • An attempt at a Preliminary Examination is considered an attempt at the examination.
    • If a candidate actually appears in any one paper in the Preliminary Examination, he is considered to have made an attempt at the examination.
    • Notwithstanding the disqualification/cancellation of candidature the fact of appearance of the candidate at the examination will count as an attempt.
    NOTE 2: Restrictions on reapplying for the examination
    • A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign Service on the results of an earlier examination and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to compete at this examination.
    • If a candidate is appointed to the IAS/IFS after the Preliminary Examination of Civil Services Examination is over and he/she continues to be a member of that service, he/she shall not be eligible to appear in the Civil Services (Main) Examination notwithstanding his/her having qualified in the Preliminary Examination.
    • If a candidate is appointed to IAS/IFS after the commencement of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, but before the result thereof and continues to be a member of that service, he/she shall not be considered for appointment to any service/post on the basis of the result of this examination.

    Eligibility for UPSC civil service examination 2013

    According to the official recruitment notification of UPSC civil service 2013, a candidate must be graduate from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination

    Candidate's age should not be more than 30 years and minimum age should be 21 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that will be as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCs

    Selection Process :

    Preliminary Examination - 2 papers objective type contains 200 marks each and qualifying in this stage is mandatory

    Mains Examination : 7 papers in conventional type pattern and qualifying in each paper is compulsory

    Interview Process : 275 marks and you will be eligible for this test only after qualifying prelims and mains examination of civil service

    If you posses a degree in Engineering then also you can apply for this examination and more details about this examination are mentioned in the attached notification

    Any Graduate can apply for Civil Services examination . So don't worry if you are a Civil Engineer.

    If you want to become an IAS officer then you have to crack Civil Services examination.

    Civil Services examination is conducted by UPSC and you must have the required qualification and age to become eligible for it.

    Graduation in any discipline is the required qualification for Civil Services examination.

    Age should be between 21 to 30 years for those who belong to General category candidates.

    5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC is available.

    You have to produce required documents to get the age relaxation during verification otherwise you will not get age relaxation.

    Selection Procedure:

    -Preliminary Examination

    -Mains Exam

    -Personality Test

    There will be medical examination for IPS cadre and you must have the required physical fitness then only you will be considered for the post.
