Re: Eligibility criteria of CAT exam for a candidate secured 52.22% aggregate in graduation? Whether the eligibility criteria has changed?

Dear as per the latest information, there is no change has been done in the eligibility criteria of IIM CAT entrance test and current eligibility criteria is following

Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute or any other equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks aggregate in all years and 45% marks for SC/ST category candidates

But there is a separate criteria which has been decided by the Indian Institute of Management

    >> Must have secured more than 80% marks in Class 10th, 12th and Graduation also
    >> Must have more than 80% marks as aggregate scored in post graduation if have
    >> Must have at least 2 years of working experience in any field

So that you can see the criteria but this is changed in case of SC/ST category candidates because they need to have at least 70% marks in all academic classes which are mandatory

If you have completed engineering degree with at least 52% marks then you are eligible to apply for this examination but you should also know that you will have to score more than 98% marks in CAT entrance test then you will be shortlisted for interview process and group discussion process and if you qualify then only you will get admission in IIM for MBA but before that you need to face off hard work because this thing is must in getting admission in IIM so that you need to give more than 12 hours everyday for CAT test preparation then only you will get qualified in this examination

I have attached some previous years question papers for this examination please download

    All the best
