Re: Eligibility criteria of CAT exam for a candidate having 49.9% in graduation 2nd year?

If you want to get admission in MBA in any good and highly reputed institute and wants to apply for CAT - Common Admission Test which is a entrance test accepted in all over Indian management institutes and colleges then you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and must have at least 50% marks in the degree and if you belongs to SC or ST category then you should have at least 45% marks in bachelor's degree to apply for admission in MBA and apply for CAT Entrance test but if you are pursuing final year of your graduation then also you can apply for CAT entrance test

As you have mentioned that your percentage marks are 49.9% in 2nd year of degree then you should not worry because you did not complete your degree and percentage marks calculated on aggregate basis so that you should prepare well for final year exams and try to score more than 50% marks then you will get 50% marks as aggregate which will make your eligible to apply for admission in MBA

CAT is conducted by Indian Institute of Management which is the top most management institute in India and if you wants to get admission in IIM for MBA then you will have to score more than 98% marks in CAT then you will be called for interview process and your final selection would be done on the basis of following things

    >> Percentage marks of your 10th, 12th and graduation
    >> Percentage marks of CAT or MAT entrance test
    >> Performance of Interview Process and Group Discussion Process
    >> Total Working Experience in any field

    All the best

    Hello my dear friend ...

    C.A.T --- COMMON ADMISSION TEST

As you have scored less percentage you are not eligible

And the other reason is you are still in the GRADUATION SECOND YEAR

So for that reason also you are not eligible

Final year graduation can apply for the exam

By the time you apply for the C.A.T exam you must have secured a minimum percentage of "" 55% "" in your Academics

There is no maximum age limit to apply for it

    VERY GOOD LUCK
