    Hi friend...The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IFS(Indian Forest Services) examination is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution...Age limit to apply is 21-30 years and the age relaxations are as per the government regulations...So,you are definitely eligible to apply for IFS examination...For further details visit www.upsc.gov.in...ALL THE BEST...

    This exam is conducted by the "" UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION ""


    You must have a minimum of GRADUATION from a recognized university


    AS YOU ARE A B.E ( ECE ) STUDENT you no need to Worry at all

    It is considered as a Graduation ..


    Final year candidates awaiting for the results are also eligible to apply for the exam

    The minimum age is "" 21 "" years


    Maximum age is allowed up to "" 30 "" years

    Of course there will be an age relaxation for the reserved candidates


    For OBC -- 3 years

    For SC / ST -- 5 Years


    So undoubtedly apply for the exam

    Eligibility for Indian Forest Service Examination 2013-14

    If you want to apply for this national level competitive examination and wanna make your career in forest service then before that you will have to pass IFoS Entrance Examination that is conducted in two different stages which are - Preliminary and Mains examination then Personality Test will be final stage of your selection that is why you should have :

    Graduate degree in anyone of the - Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Engineering/ Forestry/ Geology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Zoology

    Age should be between 21-30 years and upper age relaxation follows - 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCs

    You have completed your bachelor's degree in Engineering that means you are completely eligible to apply for this test and you should prepare for IFoS Exam 2014 because this year's IFoS preliminary examination has conducted at 26th of May 2013 and main exam dates are not announced yet but possible to be held in December of this year by UPSC that is why you have very good chance to appear for this exam and prepare well

    Find good coaching institute in your near area otherwise be ready to go outside for study because best coaching institutes are only available in Delhi area so you should be prepared there for this test and if you want to prepare at your home then you just need to buy some good books and take a guide who could guide you well for the preparation of this examination

    Preliminary Examination contains - 400 marks for two papers - General Studies and CSAT where both papers are objective type and passing in this test is compulsory

    Main Examination contains - 6 papers which are - General Knowledge, English Language and four other papers are based on two optional subjects selected by the candidate and list of optional subjects will be available in the application form of main examination and all these 6 papers contains - 1400 marks and passing in each paper is compulsory

    Personality Test - 300 marks

    Hello friend,

    Indian Forest Services(IFS) is a all India entrance examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). The eligibility criteria for IFS is given below.

    1. Candidate must have Bachelors degree in the following subjects from any recognizing University:

    Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Agriculture engineering, Forestry Engineering.

    2. Minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years and maximum age is 30 years. Upper limit of age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years. And for OBC is 3 years.

    3. Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Subjected to Nepal or Bhutan.

    4. General candidate can attempt four time, OBC candidate can attempt seven times, Their is no restriction for number of attempts for SC/ST candidates.

    As you have done B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering. So You are not Eligible for IFS examination.
