    Re: Is EAMCET required for pursuing Aeronautical Engineering? Minimum percentage of marks should be scored in Intermediate examination?

    Hi Buddy,

    YES if you are belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh then EAMCET is one of the qualifying examination for students in 12th standard to get admission into Engineering courses.

    --> It is difficult for you to get direct admission into Engineering courses without EAMCET.
    --> You have chosen aeronautical engineering as your group of interest for which you must work hard.
    --> EAMCET has changed it's pattern form the past few years intermediate marks weightage is also been included along with EAMCET marks to give a students an overall % and allot the ranks accordingly.
    --> 25% of marks are considered as Intermediate weightage i.e only your maths, physics and chemistry marks you secured are included.
    --> From EAMCET point of view the total 160 is scaled to 100 and the marks you secure is also scaled accordingly and 75% of it taken into consideration.
    --> EAMCET rank = 75% EAMCET + 25% Intermediate
    --> Now your sole aim must be to get good marks in intermediate which means out of 600 marks of intermediate (only maths, physics and chemistry) you must get a minimum of 525 and above.
    --> In eamcet you must score around 80 marks out of 160 which will help you in getting a very good EAMCET rank.
    --> Aeronautical course is preferred by very few students but the same course is given great importance when it comes to college i.e students at times look at college and adjust with the course.
    --> So you must get a very good rank to get aeronautical course in good college.
    --> There will be plenty of seats available in average and new colleges but there students will have to face problems with lack of infrastructure, low quality facilitators, less library books, etc....

    So, your priority must be to secure good marks in both Intermediate as well as EAMCET which will help you in securing a good EAMCET rank, further fetching you a seat in aeronautical engineering good College.
    All the best.

    hii...

    Yes EAMCET is required for every engineering student,
    you have to pass 12th standerd to get admission in engineering college..and you have to secure more marks in maths,physics,chemistry because 25% of marks are calculated from these subjects to EAMCET marks i.e 75% EAMCET + 25% Intermediat = EAMCET rank.
