Re: Difference between SSC CGL and Bank PO exams?

I can differentiate between SSC CGL & SBI/IBPS PO exam.as:

    1.SSC CGL exam.is a Purely Central Govt.JOb ..1.SBI PO /IBPS PO is a PSU Job.

2.This exam is conducted by SSC 2.This exam is conducted by SBI/IBPS.

    3.The age eligibility 19-27 years 3.Age eligibility 18/20- 28 years.

4Female candidate is frre from exam fees. 4.Male/Female both to pay exam fee.

5.These are not officer job. 5.These are obviously status ful officer job.

    6.Salary & perks is low.... 6.Salary & perks is more than SSC-CGL.

7.Multiple offices involved with CGL..................7.Only PSU banks are involved.

    Thank You,

Re: Difference between SSC CGL and Bank PO exams?

SSC CGL and Bank PO are different examination .

SSC is Staff Selection Commission and it conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination.

Bank PO Exams are conducted by IBPS and SBI seperately .

The qualification required for both the examination is Graduation so you can apply for both if you have the Graduation in any discipline.

The examination pattern is different for both the examination.

Bank PO is more related to speedy calculations but SSC CGL requires more knowledge if you want to crack it.

Both have negative marking for wrong answers and you have to clear cutoff marks to proceed to next stage.

You can visit following websites for information

    -For Bank PO http://www.ibps.in

    -For SSC CGL http://www.ssc.nic.in

Re: Difference between SSC CGL and Bank PO exams?

    Hi Friend,

There is much Difference between SSC CGL and Bank Po exams.

SSC CGL stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduation Level:
This exam is conducted by Government of India to full fill the post of Government jobs like
    Income Tax Officer
Assistants in (Ministry of Railways, External Affairs, intelligence Bureau, Central Secretariat Service, Deputy of Revenue etc...)
    Inspector(Income Tax, Excise Dept)
Sub Inspector at CBI etc... and many many more....

Bank Probationary Officer post is for Recruiting the Graduates for the post of Probationary Officer in the Respective banks.
For this the age limit is 21-30 years as same as SSC and Educational qualifications are also same as SSC that is a Bachelor Degree

Though SSC we can be hired for many posts, bust through Bank PO exam we will be hired for only one Probationary Officer Post only

But Examination pattern is different for both the exams

Selection process is different for these two exams:
For SSC selection will be in 3 stages
    Tier 1
    Tier 2
    Interview.

For Bank PO selection will be in 2 stages
    Written Test
    Interview.

    Thank you...
