    Qualification :- Graduation (from any recognised university)
    ~~~~~~~~~

    For the OC Category candidates , age should be between 21-30 years

    For the OBC Category candidates , age should be between 21-33 years

    For the SC or ST category candidates , age should be between 21-35 years

    ~ For OC category , 4 attempts are valid
    ~ For OBC Catregory , 7 attempts are valid
    ~ For SC or ST category , unlimited number of attempts for them . but , all attempts are valid if and only if , the candidate's age is below 35 years

    IAS exam is conducted every year by UPSC and if you want to apply then you must have following qualifications:

    -Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

    -Age between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category candidate. Age relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC , PWD and Ex Servicemen .

    So if you have above qualifications then you can apply for IAS exam.

    The selection will be based on following stages:

    -CSAT

    -IAS mains

    -Personal Interview.

    Those who are high on merit will be selected for the job.

    IAS means Indian Administrative Services.

    This is a Civil service and written exam is conducted by UPSC.

    Educational qualification:

    Any degree from recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    Age Criteria:

    Minimum:
    21 years

    Maximum: 30 years

    Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows:

    3 years for OBC.

    5 years for SC/ST

    10 years for PWD & Exservice-men.

    Exam pattern:

    Preliminary exam

    Mains

    Interview



    Number of attempts:

    General category- 4

    OBC - 7

    There is no limit for SC/ST.

    Next UPSC Civil services Preliminary exam is on 19-05-2013.

    Date of Notification: 02-02-2013.

    Last date for receipt of application: 04-03-2013.

    If, You want to Give the IAS exams than you have to appear for the UPSC Civil Services exams.
    This Exam is conducted By UPSC each year

    This Exam is held in three stages
    >> Prelims
    >> Mains
    >> Interview

    You have to clear all the three Stages

    Next UPSC Prelims Exams will be held on 19th MAY 2013
    Notifications for this exam will come out on 2nd February 2013
    Last date to apply is 4th March 2013

    ELIGIBILTY:
    Educational Qualifications= > Graduation pass in any Stream

    Indian Administrative Service is the administrative civil service of the Government of India.Following is some information about IAS Exam.
    *IAS Exam Eligibility : -
    ~Educational Qualification :
    Candidate must have done Graduation from Racognized University.
    ~Nationality :
    Candidate must be indian citizen.
    ~Age Limit :
    Candidate's age must be atleast 21 year and must have not attained 30 year.
    Upper age Relaxation is only for Reserved Category.
    5 year for SC/ST,3 year for OBC
    ~Number of Attempt :
    For General Category :Four Attempt

    2. A graduation degree in any discipline.

    3. There is no percentage criteria.

    Age limit:-

    1. The age limit is 21 to 30 yrs as on August 1 of examination year.

    2. There is 3 yrs relaxation for other Backward classes.

    You can give a IAS examination after complete graduation and must be doing work hard

    than get a good job in IAS officer .It's a toughest exam in India's.You can give a 4 times

    in this IAS exam and get a some relaxation are given reserved category.Your age limit

    should be 21 to 30 years.You must be Indian citizenship.You must be graduate than

    apply for IAS exam .You clear exam and become a IAS officer job its a very reputed

    job in India.

You have to be the citizen of India. And your age must also lie between 21 years to 30 years.     the IAS exam held every year for the officer category in govt . administration that is like IAS,PCS,IFS etc , every year many candidates apply for this exam , but th success rate in this exam is very less you have put an extra efforts to succeed in this exam , now as far as eligibility criteria is concern , the main criteria is given as below:

    1. for general category candidates the age limit is 21-30 years , and also they have maximum 4 attempts to crack this exams .
    2. for obc category candidates the age limit is from 21-33 years and they have maximum of 7 attempts to crack this exam .
    3. for sc/st category candidates the age limit is 21-35 years and they have no such attempts restriction , they give as many attempts as they want but within the age limit.

    so, all the best for exams....

    IAS is Indian Administrative Service. The exam is held by UPSC Government.

    The exam is held only once in a year and it is a very tough exam to crack.

    Minimum Educational Qualification Required for IAS Examination

    Candidate should have completed his/her bachelor's degree from a recognized university and there is no specific specialization required to be eligible for this examination but you should posses a degree in any stream. Final year examination appearing or pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply only for IAS preliminary Examination

    Age limits are also decided by the board to appear for this exam that are - 21 years of age is the minimum requirement and 30 years of age is maximum limit to appear for IAS examination

    Number of Attempts are necessary to be followed which are - 4 attempts for General Category, 7 attempts for OBC category and there is no limitation decided by the board for SC and ST category candidates but they are also restricted to appear for examination after completing 35 years of age

    IAS Preliminary Examination 2013 has been held at 26th of May 2013 and main exam is going to be held at 1st of December 2013 so if you could not apply for this exam then must be ready with your preparation for IAS 2014

    Examination Pattern for IAS

    Preliminary Examination - Two Objective Type papers for 400 marks in which paper I is - General Studies contains 200 marks and Paper II is for - CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - 200 marks. Qualifying in prelims is necessary to be eligible for main exam

    Main Examination - Seven Conventional Type papers will be conducted in this main exam and passing in all is mandatory

    Paper I - Essay for 200 Marks, English comprehension for 100 marks = 300 Marks

    Paper II, III, IV and V Based on one subject that is General Studies - I, II, III & IV - 250 marks each

    Paper VI and VII - Based on optional subject selected by you while applying for main exam - 250 marks each

    Total marks for main examination - 1800

    Hi friend,

    IAS means Indian Administrative Service.

    They are popularly known as Indian Civil services.


    These exams are conducted in Three phases:-

    Phase I- CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test) which is conducted in May or June.

    Phase II - MAINS Which is conducted in OCT or NOV.

    Phase III - Personality Test i.e, Interview in FEB/ MARCH of the following year.

    Educational Qualification:-

    Any Bachelor's Degree from the recognized university.

    Age Limit:-

    A general category candidate must have attained 21 years of age and the age should not exceed 30 years.

    Attempts:-

    4 for General candidate.

    7 for OBC Candidate.

    No Limit for SC/ST candidate.
