    UPSC conducts the CIVIL Services Exams to fill posts in 24 Government Departments each year.

    Below are few of the departments in which posts are filled through this exams:

    Detailed criteria of IAS.

    Ias(Indian Administrative service) this exam is conducted by UPSC every year.This exam can write any graduate from any category/ in any discipline/ from a recognized University the Civil Services like IFS/IPS/IRS/IES all follow same eligibility/criteria for doing registration all exams.are UPSC exams and recruitments are also for various GOVT.Departments offices.

    Age: For Gen: 21-30 years.OBC: 21-33 years.S/C S/T: 21-35 years.

    Nationality: Indian. Male/Female both can apply.

    Attempts: To clear the exam.a general candidate get 4 attempts and OBC get 7 attempts.S/C S/T No.limit.

    Final selection is on the basis of merit list after clearing prliminary/main exam and interview.

    • IAS is an Indian administrative services, which is one of the reputed post and you have to give civil services examination for it.
    • As per the eligibility criteria, you need to have completed the graduation in any stream from an recognised university.
    • Your's age should be between the limit stated i.e from 21 years to 30 years.
    • Age relaxations is only given to reserved category which is as per the central government rules.
    • It has a total three stages which is necessary to be cleared i.e preliminary exam, main exam and at last the interview segment.

    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

    The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
    Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university

    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    PH 21-40 yrs

    FOR APPLYING FOR THE IAS exams, you need to apply for the CIVIL Services Exams.
    This exam is conducted by UPSC

    ELIGIBILTY:
    Education- Bachelors Degree Pass in any Stream

    Age- Minimum 21 years
    Maximum 30 years
    Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

    Chances- General candidates can apply for this exam 4 times
    OBC can apply for 7 times
    For SC/ST candidates there is no such restriction

    Age of IAS exams--

    IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service.


    Age should be --
    For general 21to 30
    For OBC 21 to 33
    For SC/St 21 to 35

    To become an IAS officer you will have to give civil service exam which is conduct every year by UPSC.
    for this exam you must have graduate degree in any stream from recognised university.

    Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year.


    In IAS exam only four attempts for general,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st.

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service exam which is conducted by UPSC board under the civil services exam and to apply for this exam candidates must have passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university and age also applicable which should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam and 5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    Preliminary Exam - There would be two papers conducted in this section which are as - General Studies and CSAT and each paper contains 200 marks and qualifying in each paper is necessary for the next step

    Mains Exam - If you successfully qualify the preliminary exam then you would be declared eligible to apply for mains exam and to apply for mains exam you would have to choose any two subjects from the list and the pattern for mains exam is following :

    Paper I - Any Indian Language from the list - 300 marks
    Paper II - English Language - 300 marks
    Paper III - Essay - 200 marks
    Paper IV and V - General Studies I and II - 300 marks each
    Paper VI and VII - Any one selected subject - 300 marks
    Paper VIII and IX - Any one selected subject - 300 marks

    Total marks - 2000 alloted in this section and you may choose any two subjects from the following list

    Eligibility Criteria for CSAT -

    Qualification-
    Minimum graduation from a recognised university.

    Age -
    Not below 21 years, not above 30 years.

    ( 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST)

    Stages of IAS exam-


    There are three stages to clear –
