    sir,

    I think to apply upsc exam.but i don't know about upsc exam.this is my first attempt to write the upsc exam.so please tell details about the upsc exam.

    Information About UPSC Exam:
    --------------------------------

    UPSC stands for union public service commission and this is inviting the applications for various posts in different departments every year once and this is announced the notification in employments news or daily news papers and follow bellow list of exams conducted by the UPSC fpr requiting the various posts in govt departments.

    = = > Combined Medical Services Examination
    = = > Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination
    = = > Indian Forest Service

    UPSC as released the notification individually and also conducted the written exam and physical effective test and personal interview for requiting the respective posts apply by candidates.

    Apart from first conducted the written exam and this consists preliminary exam and main exam and for preliminary exam you have 1 1/2 papers each consists of 100 marks completed with in 2 hours.

    After qualifying the preliminary examination called for main exam and it consists of 9 optional papers and each paper consists of 100 marks completes with in 3 hours and again qualifying the main exam called for physical effective test (if available ) or personal interview.

    Required Requirements :
    --------------------------

    For writing the written exam required educational qualifications are different for different examinations ,but basically required educational qualifications are you need to completed the graduation in relevant field apply by the candidate from recognized university and here not required ANY PERCENTAGE in graduation.

    Also required minimum age limit should be 21 years and maximum should be 30 years for general category candidates and 21-33 years for OBC category candidates and 21-35 years for SC/ST category candidates.

    You can apply 4 times if you are general category candidates or 7 times for OBC category candidates or NO limit for SC/ST category candidates.

    U.P.S.C is Union Public Services Commission.

    U.P.S.conducted many exam for different job like:-
    > Civil Services Exam
    > Combine Defence Services
    > Indian Engineering Services
    > National Defence Academy
    > Indian Forestry Services
    > Central Police Force.
    etc

    Friend For the above exam you have to pass the graduation.

    You can apply in National Defence Academy exam after passing 12th with any stream.

    Civil Services exam, combine Defence services and central police force you have to pas graduation with any stream.
    Age limit for Civil services exam is 21-30 year.
    Age limit for C.D.S and Central Police force exam is 19-25 year.

    For I.E.S you have to pass engineering with any one stream in following:-
    > Civil Engineering
    > Mechanical Engineering
    > Electronics Engineering
    > Electrical Engineering
    Age limit for I.E.S exam is 21-30 year.

    UPSC conducts many exams. But I am assuming that you are talking about Civil Service Exam. Civil Service exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once.
    Civil Service Exam held in 3 stages :

    1. Preliminary exam
    2. Main exam
    3. Interview


    One can appear for Main exam, only when one successfully gets through the prelims.

    Eligibility Criteria for Civil Service Exam
    :

    Education Qualification :



    - You should be a Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.


    - There is NO minimum percentage criteria is required.


    Age limit :


    - Age should not below 21 years and not above 30years.

    You join UPSC exam after complete graduation and you give 4 times in whole life .

    ELIGIBILITY FOR UPSC EXAM CRETRAI GIVEN BELOW:

    Min eligibilty criteria to appear in the UPSC exams is Graduation pass
    Min age-21 years max age-30 years
    OBC gets 3 years age relaxation, SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxation

    Number of attempts- 4 for general and 7 for OBC and no restriction for SC/ST

    This exam is held in three stages- Prelims, Mains and interview

    Next Prelims exams will be held in May 2013 and forms for the same will come out in feb 2013
