Re: Date, syllabus and process of JMFC exam?

JMFC : Judicial Magistrate First Track Court exam is a judicial service exam, for the post of judicial magistrate conducted by various state governments.
Criteria : Graduation in Law with at least 55% marks is the minimum qualification required for the exam
The age limit is 35 years for general category & 3 years relaxation for OBC, 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

Selection Procedure : A written test followed by a personal interview.
Different states announce their notification on individual dates of the month. Most, probably the announcement would be done by July 2013, start preparing for the exam.

Syllabus : There are certain books for a holistic insight for the entire syllabus. One of the best publishers in this regard are Universal Publishers.
You need an in-depth knowledge through the following subject :
CPC, Cr.CP, IPC (Evidence Act.), TP Act, Limitation Act. , NIACT, Contract Act., Family Laws etc....

As far as experience in the field is concerned, it's not mentioned any where. Hence, it does not make any difference weather you have certain amount of working exp. or not....
    All the best !

    Dear Sir/Maam,

I have cleared my LL.B in June, 2011. My query is - In order to apply for JMFC, do we require sanath? Currently I am working as lawyer with one of the leading companies.
Also, is it necessary to clear LL.B final year in single attempt? I have cleared my 1st and 2nd year in the first attempt. In the final year, due to some unavoidable situations I was not able to appear for two papers. Kindly let me know if there is any provision (to prove the unavoidable situation) for appearing JMFC.

    Thanks & Best Regards
