Red face I think doing M.Sc in any subject llike Agriculture basic sciences etc and then clearing NET either U.G.C or A.R.S net for agriculture can be best for teaching in any Indian universit as per the UGC guidelines...

doing M.Sc either in basic sciences or agriculture etc and then clearing(both Pre and main exam) of the N.E.T (A.R.S net for agriculture) or (C.S.I.R U.G.C. NET) exam can be best for teaching in any Indian university as per the UGC guidelines...

    HI!
If you want to become teacher then you have to do B.Ed after passing graduation..

For admission in top B.Ed college you have to qualify the entrance exam...
    Top university offering B.ED are:-
    > Delhi University
    > I.P University
    > Guru Nanak Dave University
    > B.H.U
    > A.M.U
    etc

After passing B.Ed you have to qualify the Teacher Eligibility Test(T.E.T)..

T.T.E exam is conducted by state or central govt..

After qualifying this you can join Govt school in your state...

    GOOD LUCK!

    DEAR FRIEND,

FOR A CAREER IN TEACHING AFTER GRADUATION IF U DO B.Ed then IT IS REALLY GOOD FOR YOUR CAREER.
IF U DO M.SC THEN U WILL BECOME LECTURE UNDER UGC
THE CHOICE IS YOURS ,WHICH U LIKE THE MOST CHOOSE IT .IN MY OPINION DO M.SC AND BECOME A LECTURE & U WILL ENJOY THE MOST & SALARY IS MUCH MORE THAN A TEACHER.

    BEST OF LUCK.............

Re: Which course is preferable after B.sc for career in teaching?

Firstly, you must be clear about the word 'teaching"...... means whom or where you wish to teach???
1.if you wish to to be a teacher in school, simply do B.Ed(Bachelor of education) and you will be eligible for jobs of school teachers up to 10th level (BOTH PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS)
2.if you wish to teach in 'higher secondary level'(11th-12th grade) in the schools, then it is compulsory to do M.Sc nowadays.so you need to do both 'M.Sc' and then B.Ed and then you can join any government or private higher secondary schools
3.if you wish to teach in colleges, then firstly you must do your M.Sc.it makes you eligible for college assistant-professorship.but within 3years(or 5 years in some colleges), you have to complete your PhD else the college authorities will not promote you or tag you as lecturer or professor.without PhD you will be called as 'assistant professor" with very limited opportunities. So PhD is a must for college professorship
