Hi, As per AICTE norms your M.E must have obtained after B.E/B.Tech. But many private institutions (mostly not reputed) won't consider it and will accept you as Assistant Professor. But on long term, if AICTE insists its norms, you may have to leave from job.
But while working in a so called un-popular small engineering institution (as mentioned above) try to clear NET/SET using your MCA qualification. This will safeguard your position in any arts and science college (to teach in CS/IT departments).
Else try to do a Ph.D using MCA qualification. Again it will help you to protect your future to land you in any arts and science college.
