thats the advantage for diploma students.

Another one is that you must appear for many engineering entrance examinations conducted at All India Level like A.I.E.E.E and many other deemed universities exams like KIITEE, etc. and other state level like WBJEE, OJEE, JKCET, KCET, MHCET, etc. for admission to both government institutes and private institutes. You need to secure good rank for getting admission in a good reputed institute/college. You will get admission directly to the 2nd year means 3rd semester of B.TECH or B.E 4 years degree program under the Lateral Entry program.Everything you can do now is to prepare for the Engineering Entrance exams if you don't have good placement facilities in your college/institute. There are two options available after completing your Diploma. You can go higher studies or you can go for a Job.
There are number of good Graduation courses available for you after Diploma like B.tech,B.B.A.,B.C.A.,B.com etc. As you know Diploma is an Under-Graduate course,and doing a Graduation course is must because in every field Graduation course is the minimum educational requirement.
If you want to do job,then you can get a job in your area of expertise. But after Diploma you cannot expect high salary packages. Your salary will increase as your experience in the company increases.
I would suggest you to join B.tech after completing your Diploma because it is the best option available after Diploma. B.tech will provide you better job opportunities and high salary packages as compared to Diploma. Moreover,you can directly join B.tech second year after completing your Diploma on the basis of Lateral entry exam.
