See to be eligible for the AIEEE exam you need to satisfy the following criterion-

1.you should be a 12th appearing or passed candidate in science stream with PCM.

2.you should have scored minimum 50% marks in 12th.

3.you should also have minimum 50% marks in PCM subjects.

So as you have scored less than 50% marks in 12th ,so you cannot appear for the exam

But you can give the 12th board improvement exam to score good in PCM and be eligible for the AIEEE exam and then appear for it...

And it wont be a problem if you appear for the exam after a year drop.

    good luck

first of all you got less than 50% so that you are not eligible for the AIEEE exam .
Because you don't fulfill the eligibility criteria for the AIEEE exam like
-> For AIEEE one have got minimum 50% in PCM subject and also in 12th .

So that you are not eligible for the exam .
Even if you drop one year for preparation , you will not allowed so it is better for you to quit the thought to apply the AIEEE exam .

Select any engineering college and start studying or give the 12th exam once again and get good marks .

    good luck

    Hello Shankar,
Sorry to say you are not eligible for AIEEE exam because you does not fullfil eligiblity criteria.
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AIEEE
Candidate must pass 12th exam with subjects PCM.
Candidate must score 50% over all in 12th & 50% in PCM individually.
Age limit must be 17-25 years.
Candidate can at most attemt twice for AIEEE.
As you do not have 50% in AIEEE so you aree not eligible for AIEEE.
But if you are SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates then you can have only 45% in overall and individually for appearing in AIEEE.
    Best of luck.

Friend you can take admission in NIT's if you are from sc/st or other reserved category as they get 5% marks relaxation and if don't have you can't join NIT's.

    Eligibility for AIEEE :

    1. Candidate must have completed 12th with PCM as compulsory subjects.

    2. Candidate must have completed 12th with minimum 55% marks.

    3. Candidate age should be in between 17 to maximum 25 years.

    4. Candidate can appear AIEEE only 3 times in consecutive years.

AIEEE Examination two modes namely , Online i.e Computer Based Test and Offline i.e Paper pencil Test.

Instead you can take admission in engineering through other state level exams

    all the best

    dear friend

aieee stands for all india engineering entrance examination. Through aieee students can take admission in nit's. But for general students percentage of marks in pcm should be 55% & there is 5% marks relaxation for the sc/st candidates.

    Eligibility criteria :-
    • must completed your 12th std from any recognized board
    • percentage of marks should be minimum of 55%
    • final year students can also apply
    • age must be between 16-25 years
    • marks & age relaxation for sc/st
    • you can give this examination three times in consecutive year.
    all the best...............

    With best regards from aroy8091........................

    Ofcourse friend,

You can appear the AIEEE exam this year.

The eligibility criteria says that, you must be having a score of 50% above in 12th and in PCM aswell.

So can give the test, since you have a 50% score.

And dropping for a year wouldnot create any issue for you.

According to the AIEEE norms -

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam known as the qualifying exam .
He/she must have also scored 50% in his qualifying exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsary subjects.

Since you have passed your qualifying exam with the above mentioned eligibility criteria you are certainly eligible for AIEEE.

If you are able to score the minimum eligible marks through the improvement exam then you can definitely appear.
If you want to appear for AIEEE after dropping 1 year it will not create any problem.

    But from 2013
    AIEEE+IIT-JEE= ISEET will be held.

ISEET stands for Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test.
