    Basic criteria of NET or SET exam? Syllabus of this exam?

    I am currently doing MCOM Part II . I want the detail information regarding net set exam. what is the basic critaria for this exam. whether in post graduation first claass is compulsary or not. and what is the syallabus for this exam. please send me the details my email id is mugdha0209@rediffmail.com

    Hello friend,

    NET stands for National Eligiblity test
    SET stands for State Eligiblity test

    TO apply for Both these examination, you have to complete your Post graduate degree course from a recognised University with Minimum 55% marks.

    If you have Completed your MSc or equivalent degree, with minimum 55% marks from a recognised Board, then you are eligible to apply for CSIR NET Examination.

    The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years, Upper age relaxation upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes.

    CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following Disciplines :

    >> Chemical Sciences
    >> Earth Sciences
    >> Life Sciences
    >> Mathematical Sciences
    >> Physical Sciences

    If you have completed your Post graduate degree course with Minimum 55% marks, then you are eligible to apply for NET Examination and if you need more Information then please check official website:

    Hello Friend,

    This exam is conducted by UGC(University Grants Commission).

    For writing this exam the qualifications that you would need are:

    You must be a citizen of India.

    You must have a age between of 19-28 years for Junior Research Fellowship.

    Candidates of SC/ST/Ph/Vh candidates will get 5 years extra.

    You must finished post graduation degree with 55%.

    Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH should have got 50% aggregate.

    You can write NET exam.

    NET Stands for National Eligibility Test
    SET Stands for State Eligibility test.

    NET Exam is Conduct by UGC( University Grant Commission). UGC Conduct NET Exam Twice In a year.
    The examination is Conducted in June and December Every Year.

    SET Exam is Conduct by State Govt.


    Eligibility for NET & SET -

    you must a Citizen of India.
    you must Complete your Post graduation Degree with 55% From A Recognized University.
    50% if you Belong to SC/ST, OBC Categories.
    your age must Above 19 years.


    Exam Pattern -

    Net Exam Consist Three papers.
    2 Objective Type and 1 Subjective Type.


    Syllabus -

    General English
    Quantitative
    General Awareness
    Analytical & Logical Reasoning

    As you know NET/SET Exams are conducted by UGC for the post of Assistant Lecturer and Junior research Fellowship.
    Minimum Educational qualification is Postgraduation from a recognised University and for
    assistant lecturer there is no age limit whereas for JRF age limit is not more than 28yrs.
    The minimum percentage required in the subject of P.G. is 55 % and you can appear in the NET/SET exams only in
    the subject of your P.G.
    The NET/SET exam consists of
    Paper 1-General Apptitude which is common to all streams and all candidates.Ques. on general science,maths,reasoaning,english,are asked.
    Paper 2- 50 Objective type questions on subject of postgraduation from the syllabus given by UGC are asked.
    Paper 3- 75 Objective Ques. on the subject of P.G. and syllabus given by UGC

    Hai friend's

    net stands for the national eligibility test

    as well as the set stands for the state eligibility test


    these exams are conducted by the union public service commission(upsc)

    after completing the post graduation only ,you can eligibility to this test

    suppose if you write the set means,you can teach around the state in any college

    as well as the net means ,you can teach around in the national wise

    must be an indian citizen

    the age limit is having ,that is 28 years

    their is having a relaxation for the back ward caste's

    if you complete only m.sc means you want to write the csir-net exam

    if you complete the graduation degree means you can directly the net exam

    National eligibility test is known short form as NET.
    *Educational Qualification:
    General and OBC Candidate must post-graduate with 55%.For SC/ST and PWD Candidate 50% in post graduation.
    ~Candidate can also appear in exam as Result Awaited category if he/she doing final year of post graduation.
    Age limitation:
    For JRF(NET) :Candidate's maximum age 28 year and minimum age 19 year.
    Age relexation For SC/ST/OBC/PWD Upto 5 YEAR.
    LS (NET) :Candidate's minimum age should be 19 year and no limit for maximum age.

    Yes Aspirant you are eligible to apply for the NET exam being a MBA passed candidate.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR NET EXAM:-

    >>The candidates should have a post graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.

    >>The general candidates should score 55% marks in the post graduation degree.
    For SC/ST candidates marks is relaxed by 5%.

    >>AGE:- For Lectureship: no age limitation.

    N.E.T---- NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST
