    Dear friend,

Every course is best if students study very honestly. So, if you have interest in the B.Sc in bioinformatic then you go for it. but before choosing the course also check your eligibility criteria because as you are from non-medical side and which course you have choose is related to the bio. Because many institutes demand bio subject in class 12th but not all.

    The best colleges are:
    • Indian Institute of Information Technology : Bioinformatics Division (Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh)
    • Madurai Kamaraj University (Madurai, Tamil Nadu)
    • SRM University (Chennai, Tamil Nadu)
    • University of Pune : Bioinformatics Centre (Pune, Maharashtra)
    • Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (Bangalore, Karnataka)
    • Pondicherry University : Bioinformatics Centre (Pondicherry)
    • University of Calcutta (Kolkata, West Bengal)
    • Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi)
    • Satyam Sri Services, Bangalore( Karnataka)
    • University of Hyderabad (Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh)
    • Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (Pune)
    • Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies (Thiruvalla, Kerala)
    • Bharthiyar University (Coimbatore)
    • Amity Institute of Biotechnology (New Delhi)
    • Bharatisadan University (Palkalaiperur, Tiruchchirappalli)
    • Tamil Nadu GD Naidu Agricultural University (Coimbatore)
    best of luck

Bio-informatics is a wonderful career if opted for ….the students can find work in a wide range of industries ,some of which r :
    •Drug development
    • Chemical plants
    • Hybrid plants
    • Petroleum derivatives.
    • Agricultural related industries
    • R and D organizations
    • database design, gene analysis, proteomics and pharmacogenomics, in various academic institutes and companies

However for u it may be quite difficult because u till now know nothing about biology,so it wud be very tough for u to clear the entrances ..plus,even after u clear the entrance ,u wont be eligible for all the colleges because there r very less colleges in india which give admissions to non-medical students ….

Rather I wud suggest u to go for biotechnology …the field has a lot of scope ..plus u can apply to any college in india for it ….u can take AIEEE paper for admissions to b.tech in biotech
