    Hello
There are various ways of working for NASA. Some people work directly for NASA as civil service employees assigned to NASA facilities, some work for NASA's contractors at hundreds of locations throughout the country, some perform research at major universities; and some participate in their numerous educational outreach activities.best of luck...........

NASA is like any government agency and has people doing all kinds of jobs. If you're looking to do research, yes, a PhD is necessary.
You must have bachelor of engineering graduation.Once you get the opportunity get it used to enter the system by making 100% effort. You will not get second chance.

    Eligibility for NASA:

To be an astronaut at NASA, you need to specialise in Aeronautical/ Aerospace engineering but people with high expertise and extraordinary skills can only make up their way to NASA.

NASA has specific reservation for non American candidates, yet remember, getting into NASA is not a child's play as it has been depicted that on an average, just 1% of the filed applications are selected. That is why, the engineers spend years of training before they can contribute to a space project Apart from this, it generally takes decades to get an opportunity to go into space, as a space program usually takes years to be completed and initiated. According to statistics, which act as an eye opener, the astronaut from the batch of year 2000 may not get opportunity to fly till the year 2010.

Not only scientists and engineers find employment in NASA, but this organization also require number of specialized personnel in the field of computer programming, personnel specialists, accountants, writers, maintenance workers etc.

    Thanks.....
