Yes you can apply for NET Exam while you are in final year of Master of Arts(M.A). According to eligiblity criteria of NET Exam final year student also eligible to apply. Hence you can apply for NET and SET Exam.

1) the candidate who have a undergraduate bachelors degree from recognizeduniversity with 55% marks are eligible to apply.

Min educational qulifications -Post graduate degree with min 55% marks
there are 3 papers in the the exam
Paper 1 and 2 is of 100 marks each and paper 3 is of 150 marks
all the 3 papers are in objective mode with no negative marking

As you have mentioned that you are in the final year of M.A. Then you can surely eligible to apply for NET and SET exams as final year students can apply. But ensure that you obtain 55% in your post graduation as it is also one of the eligibility criteria for general category students. AndFor candidates belonging to SC/ST categories min 50% marks in post graduation is essential. So it is advisable that you try and maintain a good percentage in your final year of MA.
You should start preparing for the NET and SET exam from now onwards only as the subject knowledge is required in these exams. One more thing from now NET exam is totally objective based.
