sir,you are not eligible for NDA,age is all right but since you are in class 11,you are strictly not eligible for this exam because the minimum qualification required is that the Candidates appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern or who have passed 12th class of School Education or equivalent examination can apply for this examination.

I am satisfy with the above answer given by Aalarif that a 11th class student can not give the NDA exam, Because the minimum eligibility for a candidate to give the exam is that he must pass his +2 class with good marks.

Secondly, the age limit for the candidate to give the NDA exam is 16 to 19.5. if any candidate that has age between the 16 to 19.5 can give the exams.

third condition is that he must a citizen of INDIA, Bhutan and Nepal.

This year, Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 are eligible”.

    Candidate must have pass
12th Class a recognized State Education Board or a University.

    thanks

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. The NDA exam is conducted twice every year to select candidates into the 3 wings of the defence-

    ~Army
    ~Navy
    ~Airforce

The basic eligibility criteria for appearing for the NDA are-

    ~The candidate must be appearing for the 12th exam or must have passed the 12th class;
~The candidate must be between 16.5 and 19 years of age

The above points imply that you are not eligible to write the NDA exam this year as you are still in class 11.However,you can write the exam next year.So wait for another year and meanwhile prepare for the exam .

Yes, with 12-07-1996 as DoB , you are eligible for NDA.
The NDA- National defence academy exam is conducted twice in a year by UPSC
it is conducted in month of april and august.
Sadly, the Last date to apply for NDA-II (2012) is over and the exam is on 19 august ,2012.
    But you need not worry,
Next NDA notification will be out in a month or two.
You will be eligible for that also and it will be NDA-I (2013).

The exam consists of two papers:
    A) maths and
    B) general studies/general awareness.

If you have cleared class 12 with physics and maths then you can join
    army, air force or navy.
If not, then you are eligible only for army.

Keep checking upsc.gov.in and employment newspaper for the same !!

No, you are not eligible to give NDA Exam
    .

To give NDA Exam, you should have passed 12th or atleast in the 12th class.

    Eligibility conditions are as follows:

A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year of examination.

    Educational Qualifications :

    *
For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

    *
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

So, you need not worry, you can give NDA Exam, after completion of your 12th, but you should start your preparations now for the exam, because you are reaching the upper age criteria for the exam, if you attain 19 years, then you cannot give this exam.

So, start your preparations from now on wards, and give your best in the exam.

    ================================================== ====

    Hi friend,

Let me first tell you something about NDA exam.
NDA Entrance stands for National Defense Academy Entrance exam. The entrance exam is carried out by Union Public Service Commission for the selection of the Students into the Air Force, Naval and Army wings of the NDA.

See,according to the eligibility criteria, students who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males.
They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

But this is not the only criteria that you need to fulfill, the other thing that you must satisfy is that you must either be studying in 12th class or must have cleared 12th class with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

You'll be happy to know that there is no such limit on the marks you score in the 12th class examination.

So as of now,you fulfill the age criteria but since you are in 11th class now, hence you need to wait for one more year till you are not promoted to the 12th class.
So you still have one more year to prepare for the exam.

Keep working hard for 1 year and best of luck for the exam !
