    Dear friend,

Yes if you belong to the General/OBC category then you must have the aggregate percentage in class 12th 60% and not in individual or SC/ST must have 55% in aggregate.

Number of Attempts: Any candidates can give the IIT-JEE exam only two times in the consecutive years. As you have given the IIT-JEE exam in 2011, so that you are eligible for this year IIT-JEE 2012. But this is your last chance to clear the test.

IIT JEE stands for Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination

It is a national level joint entrance examination for students as piring to do graduation in engineering from IITs

    ___/ELIGIBILITY Criteria\___
    1. You need to have PCM (physics Chemistry Maths) combination in your 12th
    2. your aggregate in PCM should be 60%(for general candidates)
    3. =========================55% (for SC/ST)
    4. you must have passed your 12th from a recognized university
    5. candidates appearing for HS are eligible to apply
    6. You can appear for 2 times in IIT JEE consecutively

SO you can see it clearly.... that whatever yo do... you need to get 60% in aggregate of PCM

else you are not eligible for IIT

if you get 60% in improvement exam and crack IIT this year.... it is ok

BUT YOU CANNOT GET 60% this year and crack IIT JEE>...even then you will not be allowed to get admission

moreover you cannot sit for IIT JEE ANYMORE

SINCE YOU CAN SIT FOR IIT JEE TWICE ONLY AND THAT ALSO CONSECUTIVELY

Yes ,you are eligible for IIT-JEE if you have 60% marks in 12th in Maths , Physics and Chemistry.
remember, one can make an attempt for IIT-JEE two times only, that too in consecutive years i.e the year of appearing for 12th and the next year.
prepare for the exam well.It is considered to be one of the toughest exam to crack.

    Good luck

Re: Am I eligible for IIJTEE this year if I will be getting 60% in improvement exam of 12th?

yes sir you will be eligible to apply for IIT-JEE 2013,if you will satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria for IIT-JEE that is the candidate must have pass the class 12 board exam with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in PCM with english as compulsory subject for general category students and for ST/SC student he will have to score 55% marks.
but that will be your last attempt for IIT-JEE,because a student can give IIT-JEE in two consecutive times and you already have lost one chance this year.
    best of luck.

    dear friend,

yes, surely you are eligible for the exam
if you will score minimum of 60% in pcm

it doesn't matter how you score
whether in improvement test or directly in the main exam
but you have to score 60% in pcm

IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology
is among the best engineering entrance exam

the most important thing to remember is
that anyone can appear for IIT exam only twice in consecutive years

and also your age should satisfy the age limit
that is between 17 to 25 years

Yes that is a good step that you are taking. You must have an aggregate of 60% in 12th to be eligible to write the JEE.But you may not improve the score of all three subjects.Instead you could focus on any one because you already have 59%.You will be wasting your time unnecessarily on 3 subjects.Instead you focus on your IIT preparation. Also remember this is the last attempt for you as you have already tried once last year. There can only be two consecutive attempts at IIT JEE.

-> age should be between 17-25

    Hello,
You are playing very risky, You are at border and must have to score 60%+ in 12th and this will be your last attempt as you can give this exam consecutively for two years, i.e. only two attempts, as one already given...
So work hard and give your 200%, else you have to sacrifice and change your aims and objectives...

    Good Luck
