    Re: Am I eligible for IES exam if I am 40 years old and working in HAL from last 19years?

    Hello Guest,

    You are not eligible for Indian Engineering Services conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) because you are unable to fulfill the age requirements by IES.

    Take a look why you are not eligible for IES.

    Minimum Education Qualification for IES:

    -> B.E/B.Tech from any recognized University.

    -> B.Tech final year students are also Eligible.

    Age Qualification for IES:

    -> Minimum Age- 21 years.

    -> Maximum age-> 30 years, for OBC 33 years, for SC/ST 35 years.

    Nationality:

    -> Only Indians can apply for IES.

    Maximum Attempts:

    -> Maximum 4 attempts within the age limit. 7 times for OBC,No limit for SC/ST.

    So clearly your age(40 Years) exceed the maximum age limit(35 years) of IES.So you are ineligible.

    Thank You.
