    Am I eligible for IAS based on my qualification belonging to ST category?

    in matriculation 61%,intemediate 56%,and in engineering got 75%. I am eligible for ias or not. And i also belong in ST category.

    YES you are eligible for the UPSC civil services exams
    Below is the eligibilty:
    Min educational qualifications required is graduation pass
    Age should be between 21 and 30 years
    OBC gets 3 years age relaxation
    SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxation

    Number of attempts- No restriction for SC/ST candidates

    So if you meet the above eligibilty you can apply for the exams

    DEAR ASPIRANTS,

    You are SC candidate no problem sc students no limit so definatly give exam ias .

    Yes ,you give exam after graduation for IAS officer exam.after graduation you

    give UPSC exam and with 60% minimum any reconiged university.

    SOME ELIGIBILITY GIVEN BELOW :

    1.After graduation you apply ias exam with 60% .

    2.Age limit 21 to 30 years.Relaxation 3 years -OBC 5years -SC and 10 years-HC

    3.You give 4 times and OBC -7 times and SC no limit .

    IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service. The position of IAS officer is the most prestigious position in India. The examination is conducted by Union of Public Service Commission(UPSC). The exam is the most toughest exam in India.

    The examination is having 3 stages:
    >>Preliminary exam;
    >>Mains exam;

    >>Interview.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

    1)AGE:
    The age of the general candidates must be between 21 and 30years.
    The age of the SC/ST candidates must be between 21 and 35 years. 5 years age relaxed.
    The age of the OBC candidates must be between 21 and 33 years. 3 years age relaxed.

    2)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:The candidates must have passed the graduation from a recognized university in any stream .there is no minimum marks required for application.

    3)NATIONALITY:The candidates should be Indian citizen.

    4)GENDER: Both male and female candidates are eligible.

    NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
    For SC/ST - no limit
    For OBC- 7 times
    For general- 4 times.

    Papers in IAS exam and marks alloted :
    Paper I-any 2 Indian language from the 16 languages, 300 marks;
    Paper II- English Language.300 marks
    Paper III- Essay,200 marks
    Paper IV & V-General Studies,each 300 marks;
    Paper VI, VII, VIII & IX- any 2 optional subjects from the given 22 subjects, each 300 marks;
    zoology,agriculture, animal husbandry, anthropology, sociology,philosophy, psychology, botany, medical science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, management, commerce and accounts, physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, geography, geology, political science, history & economics.

    you are eligible for IAS entrance exam.
    ELIGIBILITY FOR IAS
    Candidate must get Bachelar's degree from any recognizing university in the following subjects
    Mathematics,physics,Chemistry,Botany,Zoology,Stati cs.
    Bachelar's degree in any branch in Engineering or any equivalant degree.
    Age limit must be 21-30 years.There is 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST catagory students.
    So gets prepared for IAS.

    My friend..I would tell you the eligibility of the IAS exam..

    Age must be between 21- 30 years..
    Age relaxation of 3 years to the OBC and of 5 years to the SC/ST category candidates is provided..
    You must have completed graduation with decent marks from a recognized university..

    A general category candidates can have 4 attempts only..
    There is relaxation also for the reserved categories..
    Maximum 7 attempts for the OBC candidates..
    There is no limit for the SC/ST category candidates..

    As per your details you are eligible for the IAS exam..

    You belong to ST category.

    Then you are eligible for IAS exam.

    See below the minimum eligibility criteria for ias exam:

    1. Candidate should have passed graduation degree in any stream

    2. Degree should be taken from UGC approved college.

    3. Final year student can also apply.

    4. Age limit for ST: 21-35 years. For SC is also same.

    5. OBC: 21-33 years.

    As per your qualification, You are eligible for IAS exam.

    Though you have not mentioned your age, but to let you know -

    Age criteria

    For general category - 21 years to 30 years

    For OBC category - 21 years to 33 years

    For SC / ST category - 21 years to 35 years.

    Educational qualification criteria

    Graduation in any fireld from a recognized university of India.

    So, you fulfill the qualification criteria and if you fulfill age criteria also, then you can apply for IAS exam.

    IAS exam , also known as CSAT is condcuted by UPSC.

    The exam is conducted in three stages -

    Preliminary exam

    Main Exam

    Interview

    Preliminary exam is objective type.

    Main exam is essay type

    Dear questioner according to your statement you are an engineer and belong to ST category according to your base you are 100% eligibile for the IAS exam.
    Eligibility:-

    1.A graduate or a final year candidate irrespective of castes/tribes/marks from a recognized University in any discipline can apper IAS exam.

    2.IAS exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

    3.Male/fefale both can write this exam.

    4.candidates must be the citizen of India.

    5.The age criteria for Gen; 21-30 For OBC: 21-33.For S.C/S.T 21-35.For PWD:21-40 years.

    6.ATTEMPTS: Gen: 4 and OBC: 7 are allowed to clear IAS exam.And other categories can compete IAS till their age eligibility support.

    first of i want to say that YES!!! you are eligible for the civil services exam , start your preparations for the exam , because this is one of the toughest exam held in india, so prepare for it , now as far as eligibility criteria is concern , the below given points must be fullfill by the candidate to sit for the exam :

    1. the candidates age must lie between 21-30 yrs for general category.
    for obc category candidate this age limit exceeds to 21-33 yrs.
    for sc/st category this limit further more exceeds to 21-35 yrs.

    2. now regarding the number of attempts:
    for general category candidates: 4 attempts
    for obc category candidates : 7 attempts
    for sc/st category candidates: give as many no: of attempts as they want but below the age limit of 35 yrs...

    3. the candidate must have graduation degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks....

    Yes, you are surely eligible to give IAS Exam.

    To give IAS Exam, the qualification required is any degree irrespective of the stream from recognized university.

    As you belong to ST category, you will be having some advantages i.e age relaxation and there is no limit for you to give this exam.

    Eligibility conditions are as follows:

    Educational qualification:

    Any degree from recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    Age Criteria:

    Minimum: 21 years

    Maximum: 30 years

    Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows:

    3 years for OBC.
    5 years for SC/ST

    Dear,

    Based on your academic percentage, you are surely eligible for IAS exam.

    To clear your doubt, let me describe you the eligibility criteria for IAS exams in details:

    - Age should be in between 21years and 30 years , but there is relaxation of
    5 years for SC/ST candidates. So you can try till the age of 35.

    - You must have passed graduation from a well recognized university. Your course can be a full time class room
    course or correspondence graduation.
    As you have done BTech, which is a graduation professional course, so you are eligible.

    - Regarding number of attempts for IAS exam. 4 attempts are allowed for General Candidates, 7 for OBC
    and SC/ST candidates can try number of times till their age crosses 35 years.

    So based on eligibility criteria, you're surely eligible for this exam.

    If you want to join central govt job in engineering department, then a exam called as IES(Indian Engineering Services)
    is also conducted by UPSC.

    The information of this exam is generally published in Jan-Feb everyyear and exam is conducted i n May.
    This is a subjective exam and after qualifying in this exam, you get the post similar to IAS officer in departments like
    Railways, Defense etc.
