Re: Am I eligible for BCA as per subjects combination of +2?

Bachelor of Computer Application is 3 years undergraduate degree course on computer application.

    Minimum Eligibility for BCA course

50% Marks in 10+2 done from recognized Board with Maths as the main subjects in their class 12th.

Many reputed institutions offered Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) expect Student to have studied maths in his/her 12th.

Since you have not studied Maths in your class 12th, you will not be able to apply for such institutions entrance examination.

But many average institutions offer this course to student even if they have not studied maths in their class.

It is up to you to apply in these institutions or not.

You may face some problem while searching for jobs after doing BCA from such institution.

There are many courses which could prove beneficial for you but BCA as you have rare combination of subjects in your class 12th.

You could do Bachelor of LAW or BA in English or BA in Economics Or BA in any other subject.

    • BCA refers to Bachelor of business application.
    • It's an bachelor degree which relates with the computer having a duration of three years.
    • The eligibility criteria depends upon university from where you want to take admission.
    • Generally the university wants you need to have completed the 12th with having any of the following subjects i.e Mathematics/Statistics/Business Maths.
    • They also requires that you must have 50% marks in your 12th.
    • As far as the above criteria, you are not eligibile but many institute accepts the student without having maths.

    Hi,

As per your subjects, you may not be eligible for BCA in some colleges as mathematics is mandatory for BCA.

But some colleges may give admission to you without having maths as your subject in 12th.

BCA – Bachelor ofComputer Application is a three year undergraduate course.

Some institutes give admission on the basis of merit of class 12th percentage, while some conduct entrance exam for it.

The basic eligibility criteria required for admission in BCA is –

Intermediate with maths and having 50% marks from a recognised board.

So, you can try for some colleges which don’t require maths in BCA.

Otherwise, these universities offer BCA programmes –

    Delhi University

    Lucknow University

    CSJM University

    Kurukshetra University

    Jamia Hamdard University

    Andhra University.
