    Hello friend,

National Talent Search Examination(NTSE) is conducted by National Council of Education and Research Council(NCERT) every year.

As you Now qualified CLass VIII standard you are not eligible for NTSE exam.

    * The candidate must be a citizen of India.

    * The candidate must a student of Class X from a recognized school .

    * Only the candidates selected by State/UT's on the basis of screening examination are eligible to appear in National Level examination i.e.. Stage II examination.

    * The Indian students studying in Abroad in Class VIII or its equivalent are exempted from Stage I exam and they can directly eligible to appear for Stage II examination.

    * There will be no Domicile restrictions.

    * Till last year NTSE was conducted for CLass VIII students but there is a change from this year the NTSE was conducted for only Class X studying students.

Re: Am I eligible to appear in NTSE exam having qualified in 8th standard?

Sorry to say friend but the the students who are studying in class 10 from recognized school are eligible for the NTSE Stage 1 exam and since you are 8th qualified you have to wait till you get in 10 class.

    It consists of 2 stages

    Stage 1----

    Mental ability test
    Scholastic Ability test

    Stage 2-----

    Mental ability test
    Scholastic Ability test

Application form can be downloaded from the NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in.

    Good Luck
