Re: Am I eligible to appear in CAT if having backlog in 2nd year of B.E.?

    Hi friend,

I am sorry to say but you are not eligible to appear for CAT exam.

Eligibility to appear for CAT exam is as follows :

    - The candidate must hold any bachlor's degree from a recognised Board / University.

    - The candidate must not have any backlog in his / her graduation.

    - The candidate should have an first class aggregate in his / her graduation.

So as per this eligibility you are not eligible for this exam.

But dont worry. Be positive. Clear that backlog and give the exam.

    All the best....

    Regards.

Re: Am I eligible to appear in CAT if having backlog in 2nd year of B.E.?

Dear CAT - Common Admission Test is conducted by Indian Institute of Management for those candidates who have either completed their graduation or appearing in final year of graduation and wants to get admission in MBA program in various top management institutes in India and to be eligible for this test you should posses

A degree in any subject or equivalent qualification from a recognized university and must have secured at least 50% marks in graduation aggregate and relaxation of 5% marks of graduation for SC and ST category candidates

If the candidate is pursuing final year of degree or appearing for final year exam or awaited for final year result then also he/she can apply for examination of CAT

You said that you have completed BE but I am unable to digest that how can you get completed your degree despite having a backlog in second year of degree because until you complete this backlog and clear all the necessary papers, university can not approve your degree for further studies of use and that is why first of all you should go back to institute and apply for examination of backlog that will be appeared with previous junior students of second year and pass that entrance test then you will complete your degree

But the big news is that you need to apply for CAT Entrance test and if you think that you will clear this backlog and get the result before the announcement of the result of CAT Entrance test then you must apply because you are eligible under the norm - final year candidates are also eligible that is why this backlog will be considered your pending study and you will have to complete it before getting the result of CAT Entrance test

    All the best

Re: Am I eligible to appear in CAT if having backlog in 2nd year of B.E.?

    Hello my Dear Friend ...

I Really Regret to Say this

    you
ARE NOT AT ALL ELIGIBLE TO APPEAR FOR the exam

You must have a minimum of
    GRADUATION from a recognized university

    That means ...
YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE FULL DEGREE completely

    So
if you even apply for the exam ... you CAN NOT CLEAR YOUR BACKLOG by the Joining in the MBA admission

    So
YOU CONCENTRATE ON CLEARING THE SUBJECTS ... Mean While prepare for the exam Soon after clearing your Exam ..you can THEN APPLY FOR THE C.A.T exam

    There is
no maximum upper age limit ..

    ALL THE GOOD LUCK
