    Age limit for SI(Sub-Inspector) exam is:
    20-25 years for General category
    Age relaxation is provided for reserved category students
    5 years for Sc/St
    3 years for OBC
    5 years for Ex-serviceman(general)
    8 years for Ex-serviceman(OBC)
    10 years for Ex-serviceman(sc/st)
    5 years for central government civil employees general and 8 years for OBC and 10 years for Sc/St

    Educational qualifications:
    Should have a bachelor degree in any recognized college/university

    Nationality:
    Indian or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan

    Syllabus:
    Paper-1
    General intelligence and Reasoning
    General Awareness
    Numerical Aptitude
    English Comprehension

    English language and Comprehension(this comes under Paper-11)

    You must be physically and mentally fit.

    Age Limit-

    You age should be between 20 to 25 years on the day of examination.

    Age Relaxation-

    There is an age relaxation of -

    3 years for OBC reserved category candidates.
    5 years for SC/ST reserved category candidates.
    5 years for candidates who have achieved distinction in sports.

    Education Qualification-

    You should have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
    There is no percentage cut-off as such.

    Physical Standards-

    minimum height needed-170cms
    chest size should be 81cms before expansion and minimum 85cms after full expansion.

    The syllabus for SI post is
    1.Current affairs.
    2.General knowledge.
    3.Aptitude and Reasoning question.
    4.General english.
    SELECTION PROCESS:
    1.Physical test.
    2.Written test.
    3.Certificate verification.

    First of all I want to say you that SI exam is conducted by state police for their department and by SSC for these posts:

    1. CISF.

    2. CRPF.

    3. ITBP.

    4. Assam Rifleman.

    5. BSF.

    6. SSB.

    The age limit for SI exam:

    - Minimum: 20 years.

    - Maximum for general: 25 years.

    - Maximum for OBC: 28 years.

    - Maximum for SC/ST: 30 years.

    - A degree pass in any stream from a reputed college.

    Age, syllabus and eligibility for SI exam---
    Age Limit---


    Age limit or the post of Sub-Inspector in CISF; 20-25 years and age limit in NCB is 20-27.
    The upper age limit is relaxable for Central Government Civilian Employees
    The age-limit is reckoned with reference to the Closing Date for receipt of applications

    Syllabus---


    1.General Awareness:
    Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.

    2.Numerical Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.


    3.English Comprehension: Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. (The question in components C&D will be of matriculation/10th Standard.

    Eligibility--


    General examination of Sub Inspector would come in this performa:
    1.paper I
    (a) General Intelligence and reasoning
    (b) general Awarness
    (c) Numerical Ability


    2. paper II
    (a) Hindi language -100 Marks
    (b) English Language -100 Marks

    To be eligible for SI exam You should have Indian citizenship.

    Eligibility criteria for SI :
