    hi,this is sindhu :-)i want to know about age limit for bank exams and also about how to prepare for the exam.when exams will be conducted xam.

    19 public sector banks now hire through a common written exams conducted by IBPS (www.ibps.in)
    IBPS conducts written exams for the post of clerk, PO and specialist officers

    Age limit for clerk- Min 18 years max -28 years
    Age limit for PO exam- mIN 21 YEARS and Max 30 years for general candidates.
    OBC candidates gets 3 years age relaxation

    Next IBPS exam will be conducted for clerical post in oct or nov 2012 and notification may come in aug 2012

    For preparation buy books and guides available in the market and solve each section

    bank exams for 19 nationalised banks are conducted by ibps for clerks, specialist officers,po's and rrb's

    age creteria:

    for po's: a candidate must be a graduate and have aggregrate of 60% from recognised university in india and age 21-30 years.

    for clerks: a candidate must be pass in 12th from recognised board in india and age 18-28 years

    for specialist officers and rrb's exam graaduation with60% and age of 21-30 years

    obc canditates have 3 years age relaxation.

    while coming to the preparation for the bank exams first you must have strond committment towards exam and hardworking this both will take you to success

    bank exams include:
    1) aptitude for 50 marks
    2) reasoning for 50 marks
    3)english for 50 marks
    4) computer knowedge for 50 marks
    5) a descriptive paper

    study material you have to follow for preparation of bank exams is

    I would tell you the eligibility for the bank clerk exam as well as bank PO exam..
    For the bank clerk exam you must have completed class XII with minimum 55% marks..
    Age must be between 18 to 28 years..
    Age relaxation of 3 years to the OBC and of 5 years to the SC/ST category candidates is provided..

    For the bank PO exam you must have completed graduation with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university..

    Dear aspirant i
    f you want become a Probationary officer, you should fullfill the eligibility criteria of Bank PO post.
    To apply for PO post candidate should be graduate in any stream from any recognised university.
    Age should be 21 to 30 year for general (relaxation for sc/st/obc).

    selection:- selection is based on three stages.
    1. written test(objective and discriptive)
    2. group disscusion
    3. interview

    All the banks examinations are now conduted under a same exam i.e IBPS

    the ibps requirements are

    -> for clerk post the age limit is 18-28 years for OC students

    ->for PO posts the age limit is 21-30 years for OC students

    OBC students will have 3 years of age relaxation

    And SC/ST students willl have another 5 years og age relaxation

    IBPS stands for institute for banking perssonal selection .
    There are 19 public sector banks are joined with IBPS .
    IBPS takes the exam for the post of clerk and PO on behalf of these banks .
    The criteria for the clerk exam is below :
    -> one should pass the 12th from any recognized board .
    -> age limit is below :
    18-28 for general cast
    18-31 for obc cast
    18-33 for sc/st cast
    18-38 for physical handicapped

    The criteria for the PO exam is below :
    -> One should done the graduation from any recognized university .

    There are one paper for the exam .

    Hello Dear,

    There are many exams conducted by different banks.
    Like IDBI, SBI and the Common Written Exam (CWE) for the bank post is conducted by the IBPS(Institute for Banking Personal Selection) institute.
    There are total 19 public sector banks are joined with IBPS.

    Two different post exam will be conducted by the IBPS institute, one is for clerk and the other is for PO and in a year two exams are held for each post.
    The candidate should be a citizen of India.

    The criteria for the clerk exam is:

    # Candidate should pass the 12th from any recognized board with a minimum marks of 60%.
    # Age limit is:
    18-28 for general cast
    18-31 for obc cast
    18-33 for sc/st cast
    18-38 for physical handicapped

    The criteria for the PO exam is:
    # Candidate should done the graduation from any recognized university with a minimum marks of 55%.
    # Age limit is:
    21-30 for general cast
    21-33 for obc cast
    21-35 for sc/st
    21-40 for physically handicapped .

    Only one paper has to be given which is having 5 sections : Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English/ Hindi, General Awareness, Computer and Banking Knowledge. Each carry 50marks and the passing marks are 24 for general category.

    When the candidate cleared this exam then he/she must apply for the interview in the banks.

    there is no a limit in banking eaier but now
    age should not exceeds 25 for clerk and have
    minimum age is 18 and for the OP NOT MORE THAN 30 and the minimum age should be 21


    and there is a age relaxation of SC/ST for 3 year

    OBC for 3 years


    now question is how to prepare
    you firstly joint a coaching institution to have a idea how to done a particular question, how much time should a question want each question should solved in 1 min or not more than 2-3mins

    secondly you should purchase various book or magazine like banking and you , PO , CLERK magazine

    and continuously practices the question

    Yes,there are different age for different bank posts.two posts which are famous for applying in banks jobs are Clerk & PO.Age for PO exam is general candidates never have any kind of relaxation.Reserved category possessed.For an SC/ST age relaxation is up to 5 years & for an OBC category 3 years.Means a SC/ST candidate can apply till the age of 35 years.For OBC category 33 years.For ex-servicemen 35 years & for PWD candidates 40 years.

    The age limit varies depending upon the post you apply.

    Age Criteria for Clerk posts is:

    Minimum: 20 years
    Maximum: 28 years

    Age Criteria for PO posts is:

    Minimum: 20 years
    Maximum: 30 years

    This is applicable for general category.

    There is Upper age relaxation for both posts as follows:

    3 years for OBC.
    5 years for SC/ST.
    10 years for PWD.

    If it is the first time you are giving the exam, then its better to take coaching from good institute, through intensive coaching and by mock exams, you can clear the exam with good score,practise is the success key in these bank exams.

    Follow books of good authors like Arihanth series and upkar series.

    Currently IBPS Clerk notification is out, exam will be in the month of December tentatively.

    Eligibilty for IBPS Clerk:

    Educational qualification:
    Any degree from recognized university.

    Age Criteria:

    Minimum: 20 years
    Maximum: 28 years

    Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows:

    To apply for bank exams your age must be between 21 to 28 years as lower age limit is 21 years and upper age limit is 28 years.There is a age relaxation system for reserved categories candidates.To crack bank exams your reasoning and analytical skills should be good .you can follow books by S chand publications.some of them are-Verbal and non verbal reasoning by RS agarwal.Quantitative aptitude by arun sharma.English and comprehension by Rizvi.English grammar by Wren anf martin.

    SBI conducts recruitment exams for SBI and its subsidiaries like State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala.

    The eligibility for clerical posts and PO post is that you must have passed graduation from any stream and
    from any recognized university.
    Your age must be 21-30 years for PO in SBI and 20-30 years if conducted by IBPS.
    For Clerical post, your age should be 21-28 years in SBI and 20-28 years if conducted by IBPS.

    For Specialist officers or IT officers, technical or professinal degree is required as per the vacant POST.

    Nationality: Indian
    Age: Minimum: 21 Years; Maximum: 30 Years
    Relaxation of Upper age limit
    Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 35years
    Other Backward Classes: 33 years
    Persons With Disabilities: 10 years
    Ex-Servicemen: 35 years
    Candidates from Kashmir Division: 35 years
    Educational qualification: The candidate should be a graduate or equivalent. The same should be in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum requisite of 55% average mark.

    Bank exam are not release notification regularly.Release the notification according to their vacancies.
    There are two types of jobs in Bank.that are
    >>Bank clerk
    >>Bank PO

    Eligibility criteria for Bank Clerk exam:
    Candidate should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
    Age should be between 17 to 24 years.

    Eligibility criteria for Bank PO exam:
    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from recognized university.
    Age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    today bank exam conducted by IBPS which contain 19 public sector bank and they followed same eligibility criteria. Some bank can also conducted its own exam and its own eligibility criteria. we determine some following criteria are-
    Eligibility for clerk-
    (1) age limit- 18 to 28 years
    (2) pass the 12th exam with minimum 60% marks

    Eligibility for P.O.-
    (1) age limit - 21 to 30 years
    (2) also pass the graduation exam with 50% marks

    In some condition the elegibility criteria contain the relaxation in age-
    for OBC - relaxation 3 years
    for SC/ST- relaxation 5 years
    for physical disabelment -10 years

    For preparation of exam you can followed the R.S.Agrawal's book for aptitude test. and for general awareness you can followed the news paper and update with current news.
